According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health, today, May 29, the country recorded 846 more Covid-19 cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the country has had more than 11.61 million cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. With a rate of 117,335 cases/million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

Health departments reported that on May 28, 131 more patients were declared cured, with no deaths due to Covid-19. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 10.637 million Covid-19 cases in Vietnam have been cured.
At treatment facilities, 35 patients are on oxygen. Of these, 25 cases are on oxygen through masks, 6 cases are on high-flow HFNC, 3 cases are on non-invasive ventilation, and 1 severe case requires invasive ventilation.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam since the beginning of the epidemic is 43,206 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths in our country ranks 26th out of 231 countries and territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.
Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths in Vietnam ranks 7th out of 50 countries and territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 29th out of 50 countries and territories.
Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health said that on May 28, 78 more doses were injected. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 266.4 million doses have been injected into people nationwide.
Of these, nearly 223.74 million doses were given to people aged 18 and over, nearly 24 million doses were given to people aged 12-17, and more than 18.7 million doses were given to people aged 5-11.
