What to do after graduating from civil engineering?

According to statistics from the Center for Human Resources Demand Forecasting and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City, by the end of 2025, when Vietnam joins the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), it will open up many opportunities for Vietnamese workers with forecasts of strong job growth in the fields of construction, transportation, textiles, food processing, etc. Therefore, job opportunities in the construction engineering industry are very open.

Currently, the work of a civil engineer is divided into three main groups: on site, in the workshop and in the office.

For off-site work, workers will have to perform tasks related to the implementation and construction of construction products, including: engineers in charge of design, construction, supervision, appraisal, and acceptance of civil and industrial construction works.

Factory positions include the following positions: internal supervision engineer, quality management engineer.

For office work, students after graduating from construction engineering can work as consultants, estimators, technical designers, design examiners at construction companies and corporations or teach and research at research and training institutions specializing in construction.
