On the morning of January 12, the Provincial Social Insurance (PSI) held a conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.
Attending the conference were Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security Chu Manh Sinh; Director of Provincial Social Security Nguyen Khac Tuan; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire provincial Social Security sector.

In 2023, the activities of the provincial Social Insurance will continue to receive the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and the direct leadership and direction of the Vietnam Social Insurance; the coordination and facilitation of departments, branches, sectors and local Party committees and authorities in implementing the tasks of the sector.
As a result, in the past year, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance in the whole province was 112,790 people, an increase of 5,844 people compared to the same period in 2022 (reaching 100.2% of the plan); Voluntary social insurance was 24,392 people, an increase of 5,961 people (reaching 103.4% of the plan); Unemployment insurance (UI) was 101,289 people, an increase of 5,809 people (reaching 100.5% of the plan); Health insurance (HI) was 1,735,486 people, an increase of 75,839 people (reaching 104.57% of the plan) and reached a coverage rate of 92.7%/population, exceeding the target assigned by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 546/QD-TTg (92.5%).
Social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance revenue in the year was 3,864,727 billion VND (reaching 103.12% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Security).

During the year, the provincial Social Insurance sector resolved pension and monthly social insurance benefits for 2,150 people; resolved one-time benefits for 25,181 people; and sick leave, maternity leave, and health recovery benefits for 17,268 people. Coordinated with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to resolve unemployment benefits for 11,304 people; and vocational training support funds for 336 people.
In addition to the professional work results, in 2023, the provincial Social Insurance organized visits and presented 152 gifts with a total value of 50.6 million VND to health insurance patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at a number of provincial hospitals and medical centers in districts and towns. This is an activity within the program "Bringing a warm Tet to health insurance patients in difficult circumstances - Spring Quy Mao 2023" launched by Vietnam Social Insurance nationwide. Calling on businesses and philanthropists to support giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances, with a support amount of nearly 649 million VND and organizing a program to give health insurance cards to people in a timely manner.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security Chu Manh Sinh congratulated and commended the results that the Social Security sector of Dak Lak province has achieved in the past year.
In the coming time, he suggested that Dak Lak Social Insurance continue to proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, coordinate with departments, branches and local authorities to synchronously implement many solutions to accelerate the development of participants.
Continue to urge and inspect the review, exploitation and development of the number of social insurance participants through data from the Tax Department, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Cooperative Union, the Department of Education and Training to develop participants. Coordinate with the Department of Health and relevant agencies to implement solutions to effectively manage and use the health insurance fund and estimate the cost of health insurance examination and treatment assigned in 2024, and control costs at medical examination and treatment facilities.
Strengthen the management of beneficiaries and payment of short-term social insurance regimes, one-time subsidies, unemployment benefits; exploit and maximize the effectiveness of information technology and the industry's database to inspect, monitor, prevent fraud, abuse, and profiteering of social insurance and unemployment insurance funds.
