Mr. Trinh Van Quyet's yacht, villa, and supercar are for sale.

After being prosecuted and detained on charges of "manipulation" and "concealment of securities information", a series of assets related to former FLC Chairman Trinh Van Quyet were put up for sale by many banks to recover debts.

After 6 unsuccessful auctions, recently, the FLC Albatross yacht of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet (former Chairman of FLC) continued to be sold by BIDV Quy Nhon branch (through the auction company) for the 7th time with a deeply reduced price.

The latest starting price is VND23,294 billion, down nearly VND2.6 billion compared to the 6th auction and down VND12.41 billion compared to the first starting price announced more than a year ago, equivalent to a 35% decrease compared to the original price.

The yacht was imported to Vietnam by Mr. Quyet in 2018. This property is mortgaged at BIDV Quy Nhon branch, used, and put up for auction to recover debt.

In December 2023, Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) announced the auction of 84 villas in the FLC Eco-tourism Urban Area in Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa with a starting price of nearly VND 550 billion, lower than the starting price of VND 610 billion announced in early September 2023.

Previously, two Rolls-Royce supercars related to this tycoon who was once the richest man on the Vietnamese stock market were also auctioned off by the bank many times.

In particular, the gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost is the collateral for the loan of FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company at BIDV, Quy Nhon branch. This supercar has a starting price of 10 billion VND in the first auction. In April 2023, this car was sold to a car enthusiast in Dong Nai at the 6th auction but the price was not disclosed.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the collateral for FLC Land Company's loan at Orient Commercial Bank. This car was once offered for sale by OCB for VND28 billion.

After many unsuccessful auctions, at the 7th offering in May 2023, the car was reduced in price to 16.6 billion VND, a decrease of 11.4 billion VND compared to the first auction, and was bought by a car showroom in Dong Nai.

Many debts related to Tan Hoang Minh are being sold.

Many assets related to former Tan Hoang Minh Chairman Do Anh Dung were also put up for sale by the bank last year.

Since the beginning of 2023, Agribank Trang An Branch (Agribank Trang An) has successively put up for sale a series of assets and debts related to Tan Hoang Minh Group and companies in the ecosystem.

Many of these loans are secured by property rights arising from long-term and irrevocable lease contracts for the office building and headquarters of the National Political Publishing House - Truth, No. 24 Quang Trung, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi (also the headquarters of Tan Hoang Minh).

Agribank Trang An has just announced the auction of a debt of VND 84,757 billion as of December 31, 2023 of customers at this branch. The collateral for the above debt is the property rights arising from a long-term and irrevocable lease contract of the office building and headquarters of the National Political Publishing House - Truth.

The bank did not disclose the identity of the customer. However, Tan Hoang Minh had previously used the lease contract of the headquarters at 24 Quang Trung as collateral for loans to many legal entities in the group's ecosystem.

In September 2023, Agribank Trang An announced the selection of an organization to auction the debts of 4 enterprises related to the "golden land" where Tan Hoang Minh's headquarters is located. All 4 of these enterprises are related to or are subsidiaries of Tan Hoang Minh. The total outstanding debt offered for sale by the bank is more than 307 billion VND.

Last year, Agribank also repeatedly put up for sale hundreds of billions of dong in debts secured by the "billion dollar" projects Thien Bao Phu Quoc Tourist Area and Hoang Hai Phu Quoc tourist complex invested by Tan Hoang Minh.

According to preliminary statistics, Tan Hoang Minh currently has debts worth approximately VND1,000 billion at Agribank. The bank has announced auctions of these debts many times but has not found a buyer.

Bank auctions debt of more than 355 billion of tycoon Huy 'engine'

After the first unsuccessful auction, recently, Agribank Nam Da Nang branch continued to announce the auction of the debt of Southern Installation Trading and Service Company Limited, whose director is Mr. Le Ba Huy (Huy 'machine generator').

The value of the debt at the end of June 2023 is more than 355 billion VND. The above debt has secured assets such as land use rights and assets attached to land of more than 2,293 square meters at 404 Dien Bien Phu (Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city, where Mr. Huy opened the Khong Gian Xua cafe and restaurant here, with an ancient house space, the value according to the introduction is more than 650 billion VND).

In addition, the collateral for the loan of the Southern Machinery Installation Company also includes the office building, warehouse, equipment workshop, lab, generator room, engine assembly line, casting equipment line... at two rented land plots with an area of ​​over 32,000m2 in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park. The starting price for the above debt is 246 billion VND.
