The sea square and festival landscape axis of Sam Son city are deployed on an area of over 15 hectares, located adjacent to the coastal road of Ho Xuan Huong, between the D beach area of Trung Son ward extending to Quang Chau ward.
The project started construction on October 26, 2021 with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND and was inaugurated on April 27, 2024.
The square has a capacity of up to 10,000 people and is the largest sea square in Thanh Hoa province to date.
The highlight of the project is the symbol of the Rooster and Hen Islet, modeled after Truong Le Mountain, made of reinforced cement and painted with imitation stone.
Along with that are 2 fountains with 300 nozzles and a modern lighting and sound system, creating a water music show with many themes, bringing visitors impressive Sam Son night moments.
Mr. Le Van Tu, Chairman of Sam Son City People's Committee, said that the sea square is invested in a modern and synchronous manner, with cultural and artistic spaces, unique landscape and architectural works to organize festival activities, outdoor entertainment, and diverse cultural activities from traditional folklore to modern international art performances, day and night.
“This project will increase the attractiveness of tourism, attract tourists to Sam Son City, overcome the current seasonality of sea tourism. Gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector to build Thanh Hoa into a new growth pole of the region and the whole country,” Mr. Tu shared.
