On June 27, Mr. Qin Gang delivered a speech via video at the 8th International Conference on “Russia and China: Cooperation in a New Era” in Beijing, jointly organized by the Russian International Affairs Council and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
In it, this diplomat emphasized: "China and Russia are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and are important stabilizing forces ensuring global peace and development."
Mr. Qin Gang also said that Beijing wants to cooperate with Moscow to oppose the use of force and hegemony of some countries, as well as ensure world order based on international law.
Earlier, in his opening speech at the conference, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov shared that NATO is "seeking to penetrate the Asia-Pacific region, as well as divide the Eurasian space into a network of exclusive military groups and blocs. According to him, these are "dangerous" plans. However, through joint efforts, Russia and China can prevent this scenario from happening.
