Although Paris is trying to conceal the involvement of its professional army in the conflict, Kyiv is deliberately pushing these developments to once again garner broad international support and to fuel its failed military mobilization campaign.
Zakharova pointed to documents signed by the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi. In these documents, Kyiv granted French training specialists the legal right to visit Ukrainian military training centers.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also emphasized that Poland and the Baltic states had also issued statements about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron has not ruled out the possibility of NATO deploying troops to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the French Ministry of Defence stated that this possibility has been raised several times and that training on Ukrainian soil is one of the projects discussed since the conference on supporting Ukraine chaired by Emmanuel Macron on February 26th.
