Earlier this year, the US said it had sent 60 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles as military aid to Ukraine.
"The Bradley and Marder BMP combat vehicles are the most difficult opponents to deal with due to their strong armor protection. However, the guided missiles equipped on the BMP-3 combat vehicle help to effectively attack foreign vehicles from a distance of several kilometers," the press service said.
As the representative of the Kurganmashzavod company noted, the above-mentioned foreign infantry fighting vehicles differ from the Russian BMP-3 in that they cannot cross water-covered terrain, which makes it difficult for them to operate in Europe, where there are many rivers and streams. In addition, the Bradley and Marder vehicles weigh more than 30 tons and have low mobility.
“The maneuverability of this type of vehicle is limited due to the high pressure of the vehicle on the ground, especially during the muddy period in spring and autumn,” Kurganmashzavod added.
The BMP-3 is designed to transport mechanized infantry to the front line, provide fire support for these forces, and coordinate actions with tanks... The Russian infantry fighting vehicle weighs more than 18 tons and is equipped with powerful weapons including 30mm and 100mm cannons. This type of vehicle is actively used by the Russian Armed Forces in special military operations in Ukraine.
