Striker Neymar and his teammates believe Carlo Ancelotti will change the face of the Brazilian team.

"Ancelotti has won every title in his coaching career. I'm sure he will teach the players many things," Neymar said on June 22, while participating in an event organized by his charity foundation.

On June 18, President of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) Ednaldo Rodrigues confirmed that Ancelotti will move to lead the Brazilian national team immediately after his contract with Real Madrid expires on July 1, 2024. Brazil has not had an official coach since Tite resigned in December last year due to failure at the 2022 World Cup. Currently, the Samba team is led by former player Ramon Menezes in an interim capacity.

At Real, Ancelotti is coaching three Brazilian players, including strikers Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior and centre-back Eder Militao. Attending the ceremony hosted by Neymar, Rodrygo refused to comment due to lack of confirmed information. But the 22-year-old striker admitted: "He is the Brazilian team's plan A. The CBF president trusts him and so do we. For me, Vini and Militao, we know him at Real Madrid and understand how great Ancelotti is."

It has been more than 50 years since Brazil has been led by a foreign coach. The most recent was Portuguese coach Flavio Costa Joreca, but he was in charge for only three days from May 14, 1944 to May 17, 1944.

While attending an event in Brazil, Neymar received bad news when the construction of a villa under his name was suspended due to violating environmental protection laws. The project is being built in the town of Mangaratiba, located on the southern coast of Rio de Janeiro state (Brazil).

According to a statement from local authorities, the construction process illegally used and moved clean water, rocks and sand. If found guilty, Neymar will have to pay a fine of at least $1.05 million.

Local officials said Neymar's father, Neymar da Silva Santos, had insulted them during an inspection of the construction site. He only stopped when police threatened to arrest him. A spokesperson for Neymar's family and the PSG forward declined to comment on the incident.
