During the recent floods, people in Tuyen Quang and the northern provinces suffered pain and loss. Sympathizing with the plight of many families who suffered heavy losses, many charity groups have turned to the flooded areas to join hands with local authorities to overcome the consequences of floods. The family of party member Nguyen Trung Hieu in village 16, Trung Mon commune (Yen Son), near Tan Trao University, has decided to provide free accommodation and meals for groups when they come to Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang. Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu said that his family has a stilt house of more than 240 square meters with many empty rooms, so he wants to welcome groups to stay. The stilt house can accommodate more than ten people, and there is also a motel next door, so if the group is larger, he will spend money to rent more so that the groups can stay comfortably. He will also volunteer to lead groups to places where people have suffered heavy losses and have difficult lives in the province. His point of view is that he is willing to help as much as he can to help people in flooded areas reduce their difficulties.

After retiring from Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Comrade Lai Cao Khai returned to live in Bac Trung Residential Group, Son Duong Town. After more than 2 years of moving from the agency to the residential group's Party cell, he was highly appreciated by Party members and people in the group, as an enthusiastic and responsible person in all tasks and was elected as Party Cell Secretary and Head of the Front Work Committee. In his new position, Comrade Khai gathered and led Party members and people to unite, promote economic development, up to now 100% of households in the group have built solid houses, the group is a typical example of the town in implementing a civilized lifestyle, actively participating in environmental protection, and preventing plastic waste.
Not only actively participating in local activities, many clubs and professional associations have organized exciting and meaningful activities for members who are retired cadres and party members to participate. To promote the important role of cadres and party members, Party cells have implemented many solutions to enhance the role and responsibility of each retired party member for local tasks. Comrade Dao Xuan Tien, Party cell secretary, group leader of group 17, Tan Quang ward, said that the total number of party members in the cell is 44, of which over 95% are retired party members. Right from the time of receiving retired party members to transfer to the Party cell, the organization has thoroughly grasped the Party's regulations and assigned specific tasks so that party members can see their position and role in order to unite with the collective to successfully implement the Party cell's resolution.
In residential groups and residential areas, the image of retired cadres and party members, together with the people, actively participating in building new rural areas, cleaning and protecting the environment, planting more trees, actively participating in social work, cultural and artistic activities in the locality... has helped retired party members live healthy and useful lives.
Comrade Vu Dinh Thuan, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Tuyen Quang City Party Committee, said that improving the quality of Party cell activities according to Project No. 16 in conjunction with implementing Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee and Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo has created profound changes in the ideology and awareness of cadres and Party members of Tuyen Quang City, and the quality of Party cell activities has been gradually improved. The assignment of cadres and civil servants of the City Party Committee to attend Party cell activities of units and residential groups has promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of Party members and people as well as issues arising at the grassroots level, thereby promptly proposing solutions, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations.
