Thousands of people and tourists flocked to Vung Tau to cool off and have fun during the weekend.
In recent days, the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City have experienced widespread heat waves, with temperatures sometimes reaching 36 degrees Celsius, making the weather sweltering. Many tourists and locals choose Vung Tau beach to cool off, especially on weekends when it is always crowded.

According to VietNamNet reporters this afternoon (April 7), from early morning, many tourists flocked to swim in the Back Beach area. On Thuy Van Street, many vehicles were moving busily and parked on both sides of the road.

Tourists mainly come from neighboring provinces and cities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Many people said that, in the face of the sweltering heat that has lasted for many days, swimming in the sea is a reasonable choice, helping to cool down effectively.

Ms. Huynh Thien Nga (38 years old, living in Binh Duong province) said that she and her family chose to go to Vung Tau to relax and swim in the sea on the weekend. In addition to swimming to cool off, it also gives the children time to play after a period of studying in class.
“My family arrived here yesterday afternoon after only about 2 hours of travel. Vung Tau beach is clear and clean, which I really like, especially on hot days like this, swimming in the sea is very suitable to cool off”, said Ms. Nga.
Walking on the beach with his son, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam (living in Vung Tau City) shared: "It's so stuffy and hot at home on Sunday, so I took my son to the beach to play."

Mr. Pham Khac To, Director of the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center, said that last week (from April 1 to 7), the locality welcomed about 105,000 visitors coming to play and swim in the sea.
During the week, there were no cases of beach-goers getting caught in whirlpools or waves washing far from shore. The unit coordinated to support the search and return 4 lost children to their families safely.
