The seminar was attended by many guest experts in the fields of archives, education, heritage management, and communication. This is a forum to widely share views and perspectives on archival documents in general and world documentary heritage in particular.
The International Declaration on Archives, adopted at the 36th session of the General Conference of UNESCO in 2011, recognized the role of archives in providing authentic evidence of all aspects of activities, ensuring transparent administration as well as preserving the collective memory of human society. Our Party and State also affirmed that “National archives are the heritage of the nation, of special value to the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”.

As the unit assigned to manage many collections and blocks of especially rare documents and materials, in recent years, National Archives Center I has actively carried out activities to widely introduce the above-mentioned documentary heritages to the general public, especially the youth.
At the seminar, Director of the National Archives Center I Tran Thi Mai Huong shared the views and programs that the Center has implemented over the years with the aim of "awakening" heritage and at the same time spreading and promoting the value of heritage to the public, especially the young generation.
The opinions of the delegates and students at the seminar suggested many solutions and directions for cooperation for the common goal of raising young people's awareness of preserving and promoting the value of archival documents and documentary heritage.
