According to the assessment of the industry and trade sector, this term is one of the terms with a stable and even increase in industrial production value compared to many previous terms.
Many large industrial projects come into operation
According to the assessment of the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress, the average growth rate of industrial production in the province increased by over 14.4%, the value of industrial production (at 2010 comparative prices) in 2020 reached 13,829.9 billion VND, the target by 2025 is 27,700 billion VND, in which, the processing and manufacturing industry is strongly developed.
According to the report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, by the end of September 2024, the industrial production value is estimated to reach 23,730 billion VND, an increase of 115.8% over the same period. One of the reasons for the growth in the province's industrial production value is the positive changes in investment attraction. Specifically, since the beginning of the term, the province has attracted 29 investment projects in the industrial sector, with a total investment capital of over 3,300 billion VND. In particular, in 2024 alone, there were 44 dossiers requesting project investment policies, 22 dossiers requesting adjustment of investment policies, of which 6 dossiers were approved for investment policy adjustment, investment policies were approved and investors were approved for 2 projects with a capital of over 82.7 billion VND.

Industrial projects that have a great impact on the province's industrial production value are given priority to remove obstacles and speed up construction progress. During this term, the number of power plants that have been started and put into operation has increased rapidly. The province currently has 5 stable power generation projects with a total capacity of 480 MW/year, 1 hydropower project under construction, 2 biomass power plants, 6 small hydropower projects with investment policies, renewable energy is being developed such as biomass power, wind power, solar power... The province has also put into operation a series of industrial projects such as JW Agricultural Processing Factory, Tissue paper factory of Hong Phat Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company...
Pioneering technological innovation
The development of the fourth industrial revolution and the application of science and technology increasingly play a decisive role in increasing productivity and product quality. Recognizing this issue, production sectors in the province focus on investing in science and technology, applying techniques to production, considering this an important solution to create competitive advantages in the market.
As one of the units accounting for a large proportion of the industry in the province, An Hoa Paper Joint Stock Company has always been a pioneer in technological innovation, improving product quality, meeting the strict requirements of major customers. Currently, the Company's pulp production line has a capacity of more than 130,000 tons/year. An Hoa's products have gradually replaced imported products and accounted for 100% of the domestic market share and are stably exported to 10 countries, with revenue reaching over 3,000 billion VND/year, contributing to the State budget from 120 to 140 billion VND/year.
The application and innovation of technology and production management help to improve the capacity of innovation in enterprises, creating products and goods with added value and high competitiveness in the market. Currently, in the province, a number of wood production enterprises have applied advanced international and regional quality management systems, thereby affirming their reputation in the market.

Comrade Hoang Anh Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in order to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, the Provincial People's Committee has implemented Plan No. 223/KH-UBND on industrial development for the period 2021 - 2025, clearly identifying tasks and solutions to focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the set goals and tasks. The province is promoting economic restructuring, gradually reducing industries that are heavily dependent on mineral resources and have an impact on the environment. At the same time, priority is given to selectively attracting high-tech, smart and environmentally friendly processing and manufacturing industrial projects; Building mechanisms and policies to develop supporting industrial value chains, industry clusters, encouraging businesses to invest in modern equipment innovation, green development... This is also a solution for key industrial products of the province to improve competitiveness, promote cooperation and linkage between enterprises producing key industrial products of Tuyen Quang with enterprises of other provinces and cities in the country and abroad.
With the proactive participation of enterprises and production and business units in improving the competitiveness of industrial products in a systematic and scientific manner. That is also the basis for enterprises in the province to improve the quality of goods and products, creating new vitality and value in the market economy.
