Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong received opinions from the working delegation.

Information at the working session showed that the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations in Thua Thien Hue has recently improved in quality, creating efficiency.

Every year, the Provincial People's Committee issues a plan to inspect, review and update legal documents to direct departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and Hue city to carry out self-inspection and review of documents at their agencies, units and localities. Thua Thien Hue also performs well in coordinating to receive citizens, resolve complaints and denunciations.

The province has conducted 18 inspections of the responsibility for implementing the law on receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations at 23 units. Through the inspection and examination work, shortcomings that need to be overcome and rectified have been pointed out in order to bring the work of handling complaints and denunciations and receiving citizens into order, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, enhancing the effectiveness of state management, stabilizing the security, political situation, and social order and safety in the area.

Conclusions and recommendations after basic inspections and checks have been seriously implemented by the units.

Although agencies, units and localities in the province have actively carried out the tasks according to Resolution No. 623/NQ-UBTVQH15, due to the responsibility of receiving citizens of local authorities, especially at the grassroots level, not being implemented well and regularly, there are still some shortcomings and limitations that have not been completely overcome.

At the meeting, the province also recommended that the Government Inspectorate issue a document guiding the implementation of the model of free legal advice from lawyers and jurists at the Citizen Reception Offices at the provincial and district levels; and pay attention to guiding the connection and integration of data between the National Database on Complaints and Denunciations and other systems of the Government Inspectorate.

The working group highly appreciated the results that Thua Thien Hue has achieved in the inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations. However, with the difficulties and limitations pointed out, the locality needs to have solutions to overcome them. In the coming time, the province needs to focus on "hot" areas to direct the settlement of complaints and denunciations; strengthen the review of pending cases for settlement; and promote the inspection of responsibilities.

On behalf of the provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong received the evaluation opinions of the working group. The province determined that the task in the coming years is to continue to proactively and promptly handle and resolve complaints and denunciations, especially crowded, complicated and prolonged cases; monitor and grasp the situation to resolve it as soon as it arises, not allowing "hot spots" to occur that cause complications in political security and social order.
