On the afternoon of June 28, the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations (hereinafter referred to as the Union) held the 2nd extended Executive Committee meeting (term VII), term 2024-2029; reviewing the first 6 months of the year and deploying tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

The report at the conference showed that in the first 6 months of the year, the Union continued to consolidate, strengthen and maintain the activities of 34 member associations; 14 science and technology centers, a number of enterprises under member associations, 5 affiliated units and the Technical Innovation Support Fund. Member associations paid attention to recruiting new members and establishing more grassroots branches. Conference overview.
The member associations and affiliated units have conducted many activities in consulting on investment projects, planning, construction, appraisal of many works and design of basic construction estimates, new rural construction, especially in legal consultancy and support. The Union also participated in social criticism on a number of draft legal documents, Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and Projects of the Provincial People's Committee organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province; sent experts of the Union and member associations to participate in a number of specialized scientific advisory and criticism councils at the provincial level.

The Federation and its member associations continue to implement dozens of topics and projects at the provincial, industry and grassroots levels. The units have proactively followed the tasks of the industry, gained support from sponsoring agencies to implement science and technology activities, seminars and training courses. Regarding domestic and international cooperation activities, many member associations have maintained and kept relationships to exchange expertise, learn from experiences in building and developing associations and received support and assistance from central industry associations, other provinces in the country, domestic and international non-governmental organizations.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Association sets out the goal of continuing to do well in political and ideological work; promoting political and social activities, performing well the assigned functions and tasks; continuing to develop the organization, improve the capacity and effectiveness of the Association's operations, performing well the function of gathering, uniting and promoting the creativity of the scientific and technological intellectual team. Promoting and performing well the activities of consulting, criticizing and social appraisal, contributing to improving the quality of programs and projects developed by departments, branches and sectors. At the conference, in addition to evaluating the outstanding results achieved, delegates also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations and proposed solutions to effectively implement the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024. At the same time, they contributed comments and adjusted some contents of the draft Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations, term 2024 - 2029 and some other important contents.
