On the afternoon of December 31, speaking with VietNamNet, the leader of Ha Tinh City Police confirmed the above information. According to the investigation agency, earlier, at around 9:00 p.m. on December 29, Mr. Tran Quoc Lam (born in 1974, residing in Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh) reported that his son Tran Quoc Th. (a 12th grade student in the area) had left home since the afternoon of December 28.

According to the family's report, the male student was chased and beaten by a group of friends and then went missing.

Ha Tinh City Police have launched an investigation to clarify the matter. The verification process showed that at around 10 p.m. on December 28, a group of 11 students including Nguyen Binh A. (born in 2008), Nguyen Huy H., Nguyen Le Khanh M., Duong Chi P., Nguyen Duc D., Tran Huu D., Pham Minh D. (all born in 2007, residing in Ha Tinh City), Nguyen Van Hai D., Nguyen Tuan N., Tran Huu L., Le Anh D. (all born in 2008, residing in Ha Tinh City) gathered at Nguyen Duc D.'s house (lane 242, Ha Huy Tap Street) to hang out.

At around 10:30 p.m., the group went out onto Ha Huy Tap Street, heading towards Cau Phu. Nguyen Duc D. drove the motorbike last, the rest rode electric motorbikes.

When D. reached alley 430 Ha Huy Tap street, he was cut off by 3 young men on a motorbike. Angry, D. also overtook and swerved back. After that, D. was chased by the 3 young men.

Panicked, D. drove away on his motorbike. When he reached Ha Huy Tap Street, D. was blocked and beaten by two young men on an electric motorbike (friends of the three people on the motorbike chasing D.).

When D.'s group of friends arrived, the other young men ran away. Afterwards, D. and his friends gathered at the central square of Ha Tinh City and called four other people, Nguyen Thanh D., Bui Quoc D. (born in 2008), Truong Quang Th. (born in 2007) and Nguyen Hoai N. (born in 2006), to come by motorbike.

This group of students walked along the streets of Ha Tinh City to find the young men who had chased and beaten Nguyen Duc D. When they arrived at Ha Huy Hotel (Ha Huy Tap Street), the group discovered three young men pushing a motorbike on the street (including male student Tran Quoc Th.) and believed they were the ones who had beaten D.

The three young men ran away in two different directions. A group of students, Nguyen Van Hai D., Nguyen Binh A., and Nguyen Hoai N., chased after Tran Quoc Th.

When they arrived at Bay Mau Lake (Nam Ha Ward, Ha Tinh City), Th. jumped into the lake and hid under the water's edge. Afterwards, the group of students agreed to "let him go" and left.

At around 11:50 p.m. on December 30, local residents discovered the body of male student Tran Quoc Th. under Bay Mau Lake and reported it to the authorities. The case is currently under investigation.
