Poisoning 18 year old nephew
From the crime report, Dong Nai Provincial Police have investigated the case of T. (18 years old, residing in Vinh Thanh Commune, Nhon Trach District) who was taken to Le Van Thinh Hospital in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City in a coma and diagnosed with "cyanide poisoning".
According to the police, Nguyen Thi Hong Bich is living with her brother and his wife in a house in group 4, Son Ha hamlet, Vinh Thanh commune, Nhon Trach district.
According to initial testimony, in June 2024, Bich and her sister-in-law had a conflict over house repairs and the purchase of a sink. Out of anger, Bich came up with the idea of using cyanide to poison T. (18 years old, her sister-in-law's child).
On June 22, seeing that T. had a lot of acne on her face, Bich said she would buy medicine to cure it. Bich bought capsules from the pharmacy, put cyanide in the capsules, and gave it to T. to drink.
After drinking, T. fell into a coma, lost consciousness and was taken to Le Van Thinh Hospital (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) by relatives for emergency treatment. At the end of June, when the test results showed that T. was poisoned by cyanide, relatives filed a complaint with the police. Before T. was poisoned, 5 other relatives had died in just the last 8 months.
From October 2023 to May 2024, 5 of Bich's relatives including: Father, husband, child and 2 grandchildren (living in the same house) died due to symptoms related to cardiac arrest and arrhythmia.
So far, Bich has been prosecuted and detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police for murder. Bich confessed to poisoning her husband and three nephews with cyanide, of which T. was the only lucky survivor.
