On the afternoon of January 9, the Management Board of the Economic Zones and Industrial Parks held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025. Comrade Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

In 2024, the production and business activities of enterprises in the SEZ and CKCN achieved many positive results, with production value reaching more than 278,000 billion VND, up 18% over the same period; budget contribution of 31,100 billion VND, up 31% over the same period; export turnover reaching 3.2 billion USD, equal to 97% over the same period and creating jobs for more than 100,000 workers.

During the year, the Board organized receptions, worked and exchanged information, provided documents for 20 domestic investor delegations and 12 foreign investor delegations to work and research investment; in particular, worked with investors to promote investment in large projects such as infrastructure of the Western Industrial Park of Thanh Hoa City, Giang Quang Thinh Industrial Park, Phu Quy Industrial Park, Industrial Park No. 6, No. 20, No. 21 of the NSZ; Me Island port area, wind power projects...
In 2024, the NSK&CKCN Economic Zone will attract 13 new investment projects. To date, the NSK&CKCN Economic Zone has attracted 731 projects, including 75 FDI projects and 656 domestic investment projects. |
During the year, the Board organized the establishment of 19 plans, creating the basis and premise for attracting and investing in industrial park infrastructure; urging investors, contractors, and consulting units to implement transitional projects to ensure progress and quality; organizing conferences to resolve difficulties and problems in the process of project implementation; focusing on completing investment procedures for projects using capital sources according to specific policies stipulated in Resolution No. 37/2021/QH15 dated November 13, 2021 of the National Assembly, to promptly implement them according to regulations.
In 2025, the Management Board of the Industrial Zones and Industrial Parks sets the following goals: Total industrial production value reaches 290,000 billion VND; export value reaches 5 billion USD; State budget revenue reaches 30,000 billion VND and creates additional jobs for about 5,500 workers.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing, and proposing operational solutions to improve the efficiency of investment attraction, create clean land fund, develop production and business effectively; at the same time, speed up the progress of planning and appraisal; strengthen dialogue activities to remove difficulties for business operations; pay attention to attracting investment in warehouse projects associated with logistics activities; promote administrative reform, shorten the time to handle administrative procedures for businesses.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi praised and acknowledged the efforts of the collective of cadres, civil servants and employees at the Management Board of the Economic Zone and Industrial Parks. Implementing to grasp and promptly support investment, production and business activities in a difficult context, logistics activities in 2024 have brought about important results, positively contributing to economic growth and budget revenue targets in the province.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized and requested the Board to continue reviewing, perfecting and rearranging the apparatus; paying attention to attracting talents, moving towards more effective and efficient operations; improving the quality of foreign affairs and investment promotion; organizing on-site investment promotion for large investors who have invested in the province and prioritizing calling for and attracting investment in a number of large industrial park infrastructure investment projects.
He requested the Board to promptly do a good job in personnel work; resolutely and strictly handle acts of harassment against enterprises, hindering investment attraction and business development. This is a very urgent requirement at present, in order to immediately overcome the situation of bureaucracy, shirking, and lack of responsibility in performing tasks. From there, promote administrative procedure reform, take the lead in shortening the time to carry out procedures, especially supporting investment in infrastructure projects in industrial parks, electricity, cement, oil and gas, etc.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Board to continue to carry out the planning work well; the focus is to urgently complete the establishment, appraisal and submission for approval of the main functional zoning plans according to the adjustment of the general planning for the construction of the Economic Zone. Focus on reviewing and adjusting shortcomings, overlaps and inconsistencies. Grasp the situation, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises, create truly clear changes in all fields, especially in investment and business procedures, land access, site clearance, land allocation, land lease, and progress of implementing industrial park infrastructure projects.
In the immediate future, he requested the unit to urgently focus on completing the adjustment of the General Planning for the construction of the Economic Zone; accompanying and supporting enterprises in the spirit of "4 together" (going together, working together, speaking together, writing together) to create strong changes in attracting investment as well as developing production and business.
