The latest US aid package, worth $150 million, includes ammunition for surface-to-air missile systems, air defense missiles, and ammunition for high-mobility artillery rocket systems. The Pentagon is also sending Javelin anti-tank weapons and other small arms ammunition.

On the same day, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the US is training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets on US territory. Washington has agreed to let the Netherlands and Denmark transfer F-16 fighters after the training is completed.
In a related development, Russia yesterday announced that it had thwarted a Ukrainian drone attack on a nuclear power plant in the town of Kurchatov in Russia's Kursk region. There were no reports of casualties and radiation levels in the area remained stable.
