(Dan Tri) - MWG decreased in price this morning amid cautious market trading and Bach Hoa Xanh spoke out about the incident of bean sprouts being infused with banned substances. YEG hit the floor for the second session, with no buyers.
The stock market returned to a state of shaking above the 1,270 point area. This morning session (December 27), VN-Index moved above the reference line, recording a slight increase of 1.25 points, equivalent to 0.1%, to 1,274.12 points. VN30-Index increased by 1.03 points, equivalent to 0.08%.
Meanwhile, on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index adjusted 0.81 points, or 0.35%, to 229.09 points. The UPCoM-Index also slightly decreased 0.11 points, or 0.11%.
Liquidity remained low with a trading volume of 287.88 million units equivalent to VND6,908.38 billion on HoSE; 20.48 million shares equivalent to VND341.62 billion on HNX. The UPCoM market had 29.92 million shares traded equivalent to VND309.92 billion.

This morning, the public was interested in the MWG stock price movement of Mobile World after the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department inspected 6 facilities in Buon Ma Thuot City and discovered more than 20 tons of bean sprouts soaked in the banned substance 6-Benzylaminopurine, a "super-speed" stimulant that helps produce bean sprouts quickly and in large quantities. Among these, there was a production facility that signed a contract to sell 350-400kg of bean sprouts per day to Bach Hoa Xanh store (belonging to Mobile World).
The Gioi Di Dong and Bach Hoa Xanh informed the investing public about the incident yesterday. The company said that as soon as it received the information, the company immediately recalled and stopped selling all goods from the above supplier as well as re-tested all bean sprout products being supplied to the chain.
According to Bach Hoa Xanh, the supplier Lam Dao only supplies 2% of the total bean sprout output to the Dak Lak region. The company is working closely with the authorities to clarify the matter.
On the stock market this morning, MWG moved below the reference level throughout the trading session but the decrease was not too strong. The adjustment level for MWG is at 1.1%, the market price fell to 60,800 VND, the matched orders reached 2.7 million units.
Banking stocks continued to be the leading force in pulling the index up. LPB was the bank stock with the strongest increase on HoSE, up 6.6% and at one point hitting the ceiling, with matching orders reaching 5.9 million units. EIB and TPB both increased by 1.8%, with TPB having the highest matching orders, nearly 22 million units.
Construction and material stocks cooled down, many stocks adjusted strongly, SC5 hit the floor, HVH decreased by 4.2%; CTI decreased by 3.3%; DPG decreased by 2.6%; NHA decreased by 2.1%. Similar to the group of basic resource stocks: SHA decreased by 6%; BMC decreased by 2.1%; SMC decreased by 1.4%; DHC decreased by 1.4%.
In the real estate sector, TDH lost its ceiling price, dropping to VND3,130, up 1.3%. Some stocks adjusted quite strongly such as DXS down 2.9%; ITC down 3.9%; FDC hit the floor; SZC down 1.6%; TCH and HDG both down 1.3%.
YEG had its second floor-fall session after a series of continuous ceiling increases (Source: VDSC).
YEG shares were sold off right from the opening, hitting the floor price straight down to VND20,100. The floor price absorption at YEG reached 409,300 shares while the remaining floor price sell order was nearly 8.7 million units.
YEG had 7 consecutive sessions of closing at the ceiling price before turning to the floor price. With the stock being "locked at the floor price" (hitting the floor price from the beginning of the session and stuck at the floor price), investors who bought this stock at a high price will inevitably feel worried and insecure because of the big loss.
