Compared to other professions, the salary in the Logistics industry is quite high. For new graduates and those with little experience, the salary will be from 8 - 10 million VND/month. In addition, depending on the capacity, position and work experience, the salary will be higher, up to 50 million VND/month. For senior positions such as Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Director, the salary can be up to 80 million VND/month or higher. Some businesses may even be willing to pay 80 - 150 million VND/month if the employee has enough capacity and experience to help their business develop best.

Despite the attractive salary, the logistics industry is still "thirsty" for human resources in both quantity and quality. The Vietnam Logistics Report 2022 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that by 2030, the country's demand for logistics human resources is expected to be over 200,000 people. Meanwhile, the training sector's ability to meet only about 10% of market demand. The number of workers with formal training in logistics services also accounts for only about 5 - 7% of the number of workers currently working in this field.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duy Hong (Operation Director of YCH Singapore Group, Head of Logistics and Global Supply Chain at FPT University Hanoi), the gap in human resources in the potential picture of the logistics industry is partly due to the current training situation not meeting actual needs. "In many cases, students, after graduating from a certain major, then study additional tasks such as transportation, customs clearance, etc. and mistakenly believe that they have a comprehensive understanding of the logistics industry. Of course, they can still do well in some of the above tasks, but their ability to advance will be hindered. Therefore, businesses' retraining and reorientation of logistics personnel often face many difficulties," Dr. Nguyen Duy Hong shared.
