Ta Chi Nhu Mountain is considered the roof of Yen Bai province with a sea of clouds in the sky, bringing poetic beauty in the purple chi pau flower season.
Being a lover of nature, mountains and forests and having seen many pictures of the beautiful scenery at Ta Chi Nhu mountain peak, Son Tung and his friends planned a month in advance to arrange work and prepare physically.
After learning about the route and planning the trip, the Hanoi boy was very excited to explore Ta Chi Nhu mountain. Because this is a 2,979m high mountain, you can see the whole view below, extremely suitable for cloud hunting.
Son Tung shared: "Although it was the first time my friends and I set foot in Ta Chi Nhu, we were all extremely happy because the trip "hit" the most beautiful time, hunting for the sea of clouds, catching both sunrise and sunset".
In particular, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the romantic beauty of the most blooming fields of dragon honey flowers or dai tu dang duoc, which many people still jokingly call chi pau flowers. The name chi pau originates from the answer of the H'Mong people when tourists asked about this flower. They answered Tsi Pau, meaning "don't know". Mountain climbers in Vietnam call it chi pau, and maintain that popular name.
"I think this trip is worth the long distance that we had to climb quite hard. Along the way to the top of the mountain, many girls wanted to stop and turn back, but I always supported and encouraged them. After that, everyone laughed and continued moving and successfully climbed to the top," Son Tung said.
He recalled that the trekking route started from long slopes, passing through cool old forests with tall mossy trees, including old maple trees with fallen leaves all over the path, rhododendron moss forests, babbling streams, and the chirping of forest birds... The beautiful, lively and constantly changing scenery was enough to make visitors forget the fatigue in their feet.
However, Son Tung also noted that before climbing Ta Chi Nhu, tourists need to practice their health because the trekking route requires walking through the forest, up and down mountain slopes, and uneven terrain that requires endurance and regular exercise for the legs to get used to the continuous movement pace.
The whole group walked leisurely following the guide's instructions and took pictures to check in. The total travel time and lunch break was about 5 hours to reach the top.
"Although I was quite tired, when I reached the top of the mountain, touched the 2,979m peak, surrounded by a sea of clouds and thousands of purple flowers blooming in the morning sunlight, my feeling of fatigue disappeared and only a feeling of joy and pride remained for the beauty of our country. Ta Chi Nhu is worthy of being a youthful trip with new experiences!", he recalled the overwhelming emotions at that time.

Besides, Son Tung also revealed that the dragon honey flower season starts to bud and bloom from early September to early October. However, the most beautiful time is around the end of September, suitable for those who love trekking and cloud hunting.
In addition to Ta Chi Nhu, visitors can choose to climb Lung Cung mountain or go to Ta Xua. Coming to Yen Bai, visitors can also combine visiting Nam Nghiep village in the season of ripe apples, admire the golden ripe rice fields, bathe in natural hot mineral springs or experience the delicious dishes of the Thai ethnic people here.
