Data leakage is a serious problem in Vietnam.

However, the head of the A05 Staff Department also assessed that cyber attacks are now common and Vietnam is often on the list of targets for hackers. According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, the current situation of buying and selling personal data in Vietnam is very serious, with two main factors being crime of intrusion and theft of personal data.

Since the beginning of 2023 alone, the Ministry of Public Security has had to warn and handle tens of millions of cases related to personal database infringement. Mr. Vu Ngoc Son - Technology Director of Vietnam National Cyber Security Technology Company (NCS) said that for businesses, data leakage will bring many serious consequences such as loss of internal information, customer database, data encryption for blackmail affecting operations, suffering economic damage, loss of reputation, facing legal risks...

According to Mr. Son, businesses and organizations in Vietnam currently need comprehensive solutions to prevent the risk of intrusion, installation of spyware, theft of customer databases, internal documents, and encryption of important data. However, purchasing copyrights for foreign programs can cost several billion VND, which is not a small expense for small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. Also at the workshop, Mr. Vu Ngoc Son introduced the comprehensive solution NCSOC to monitor network security 24/7 for small and medium-sized enterprises, including platform software, technology infrastructure, and operational services, allowing all-in-one connection, monitoring network system components... thereby early detection and prevention of cyber attack risks. "NCSOC will be the technical solution for businesses and organizations to meet the requirements of Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection," said Mr. Son.
