MU plans to sell many players, discuss negotiations with Robin Le Normand

The Manchester team plans a major purge with 10 players having to leave Old Trafford in two transfer windows in 2024.

Manchester Evening News said that in the next 12 months, coach Ten Hag plans to eliminate at least 10 more players with the help and support of billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The long list of names set to leave includes Jonny Evans, who is 36 and out of contract in June 2024.

Raphael Varane is another centre-back who could be sold due to a loss of form and is on a high salary compared to the average at Old Trafford.

Although Lisandro Martinez has been out injured recently, coach Ten Hag prefers to choose Maguire, Lindelof or Evans as central defenders rather than Varane.

Lindelof and Wan-Bissaka's contracts will expire next year. So far, MU has not made any specific moves to keep the two defenders.

Manchester Evening News also revealed that coach Ten Hag will renew the midfield line as Casemiro and Eriksen are both over 30 years old.

Martial's future is a big question mark as his contract with the club ends next summer. Most likely, MU will let the French striker leave on a free transfer.

Tom Heaton and Hannibal Mejbri are also entering the final year of their contracts with the Red Devils. The young midfielder of Tunisian origin is being considered for a new contract, while Heaton will have to find a new destination.

Spanish media said that MU is speeding up negotiations with Real Sociedad about the future of central defender Robin Le Normand.

MU is likely to part ways with Raphael Varane in the winter transfer window, so adding a new central defender is mandatory.

Le Normand's performance received high praise from coach Erik ten Hag as well as the MU sports department.

Le Normand is a mainstay in Sociedad's defense and also plays an important role in helping the Spanish team win a ticket to EURO 2024.

El Nacional said that in case they cannot find a common voice with Sociedad, MU will activate Le Normand's contract termination clause, for 60 million Euros.
