MU coach Erik ten Hag hopes the Red Devils will spend money to bring in centre-back Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich.

The Dutch centre-back is the latest target for the Manchester club as they look to bolster their defence in depth.
Previously, there was also news that MU was eyeing two other central defenders, Ronald Araujo (Barcelona) and Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton).
However, De Ligt is the name that coach Ten Hag wants the most. The two teachers and students once worked together at Ajax.
De Ligt made 70 appearances and became captain at the age of 19 under Ten Hag at Ajax. He also helped the Dutch team win a domestic double and reach the semi-finals of the 2018/19 Champions League.
Bayern Munich are ready to sell De Ligt for a fee of over £50m and continue to invest in another centre-back.
The 24-year-old's contract with the Bavarians is currently valid until the summer of 2027. However, De Ligt has recently lost his form due to a knee injury.
Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min Jae are coach Thomas Tuchel's favorite central defender pair, causing De Ligt to only start 4 matches since the beginning of the season.
Arsenal is also interested in De Ligt's case but the transfer is difficult to complete due to Financial Fair Play regulations, according to Vietnamnet.
