Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province actively participates in building a clean and strong Party and government

In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels in the province has comprehensively implemented and increasingly improved the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of work, aiming to actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. Thereby, promoting the role of a "bridge" between the Party, the State and the People, building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, creating momentum to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals of the locality.

Visiting Quynh Luu commune (Nho Quan) in the first days of the new year 2024, we clearly saw the changes in the land considered the "cradle" of the province's revolutionary movement. The commune's infrastructure such as the Party Committee headquarters, People's Council, People's Committee, schools, medical stations, etc. have been invested in and built spaciously; the rural traffic system has been upgraded and connected synchronously; the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. Those changes are the result of the new rural construction program, which is largely due to the strength of the great national unity bloc being promoted.

Comrade Pham Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu Commune, said: Quynh Luu Commune has 20% of the population following Catholicism. To promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, create consensus among the people, mobilize internal resources in building new rural areas, the commune Fatherland Front determined the top priority task is to perform well the function of supervising contributions and expenditures in the construction of public works, ensuring publicity and transparency. Thereby creating trust and consensus among the people, contributing labor and money, together with the local Party Committee and government to build new rural areas.

From 2019 to present, the Fatherland Front of Quynh Luu commune has conducted 41 supervisions; the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Supervision Committee have conducted 17 supervisions; most of which are supervisions of construction projects in the area. Through supervision of works and projects implemented in the area regarding technical design, investment capital, quality of works when put into use..., it contributes to strengthening people's trust in the local government.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngan, Head of the Front Work Committee of Hoi Tien 2 village, Quynh Luu commune, said: Over the past years, we have actively participated in supervising the village's road construction projects and the Dong Liem lake construction project; supervising revenue sources for new rural construction, support campaigns, and the implementation of village covenants... Since then, people have trusted and voluntarily contributed over 500 million VND and hundreds of working days to build public works.

Supervision is one of the many functions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front that contributes to the building of the Party and the government. In recent years, with the role of an organization that gathers and unites all classes of people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has not only done well in promoting democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; but also actively participated in building the Party and the government through various aspects of work such as: Participating in giving opinions to the Party Committee and the government on specific issues in practice; implementing social supervision and criticism; participating in the development of policies and laws; coordinating with agencies and organizations to promulgate and implement programs and regulations on coordination of work; collecting and synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people to reflect and make recommendations to the Party and the State...

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Ha, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: Participating in Party and government building is one of the key tasks of the Fatherland Front at all levels. To effectively carry out the work of giving opinions on Party and government building, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations regularly grasp the situation of the people, do a good job of receiving citizens; actively coordinate with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, People's Council, People's Committee and related units, especially in organizing meetings with voters.

In 2023, the Fatherland Front at all levels organized 12 meetings to meet voters of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation before and after the 5th and 6th sessions of the 15th National Assembly and 29 meetings to meet voters of the Provincial People's Council delegates before the regular sessions of the Provincial People's Council during the year. Through the meetings, more than 200 opinions of voters were compiled, classified and sent to competent authorities for consideration and settlement. Creating consensus among voters and people, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; at the same time helping Party committees and authorities to constantly improve the quality of leadership, direction, management and operation, aiming at the satisfaction of the people.

The supervision and social criticism work of the Fatherland Front at all levels has been carried out seriously and systematically according to Decision 217, 218-QD/TW dated December 12, 2013 of the Politburo (11th tenure); gradually becoming routine and achieving many positive results. The supervision activities have been organized regularly and seriously with content linked to local political tasks, directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, association members and people of all walks of life.

In 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province chaired and coordinated the organization of more than 900 monitoring sessions. The monitoring content focused on the following areas: Mobilizing resources to contribute to the construction of new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, student contributions; implementing social policies; receiving people and handling complaints and denunciations of citizens; projects and construction works in the area...

The Fatherland Front at all levels continues to pay attention to social criticism work. During the year, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province actively coordinated with socio-political organizations to organize 125 social criticism conferences to contribute opinions focusing on the draft resolution on Regulations on policies to support the construction and repair of houses for poor households in Ninh Binh province in the period of 2023-2025 of the Provincial People's Council; the draft Land Law (amended); draft resolutions, programs, and projects of the People's Councils and People's Committees of districts, cities, communes, wards, and towns on socio-economic development; contents related to the rights and responsibilities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People, etc.

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels also promoted the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; promoted the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste according to its functions and tasks; propagated and mobilized the people to participate in supervising cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees; monitored, detected and denounced acts of corruption, waste and harassment by cadres, civil servants and public employees in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII)...

2024 is a particularly important year, the year to organize the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term. From the achieved results, we believe that, with constant innovation and improvement of working methods, the Fatherland Front at all levels of the province will continue to affirm its role and position in participating in building a clean and strong Party and government, being a "bridge" between the Party, government and the people.
