A school in Hanoi awards gold to outstanding students

Specifically, at the closing ceremony, the school honored 7 students with the highest average scores in 7 grades. 2 outstanding students of the 2023-2024 school year received a prize of 3-tael gold pieces, with the school logo, a flying dragon image and the words: "Humanity, enlightenment".

Two outstanding students of MV Lomonosov Secondary and High School ( Hanoi ) were awarded gold medals at the closing ceremony of the school year.

SCHOOL PROVIDERS

The two students awarded gold medals were Hoang Ha Uyen, a student of class 12D, and Nguyen Minh Chau, a student of class 9A1.

Both students have excellent academic results and won prizes in the city-level excellent student competition. Specifically, Ha Uyen won first prize in the German excellent student competition, Minh Chau won second prize in English at the city-level excellent student competition.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Principal of Lomonosov MV Secondary and High School, said: "The reason for the gold award is that 5 years ago, when doing the scholarship project for students, the school board wanted to have a meaningful gift for excellent students at the end of the school year.

The Board of Directors has chosen a 3-tael gold bar with the image of a flying dragon symbolizing the thousand-year-old land of Thang Long, with the school name andeducational philosophy: "Humanity - Liberalization" to award to the 2 students with the most outstanding achievements.

According to Mr. Tung, by giving out gold awards, the school hopes to help students retain them longer and every time they see them, they will be proud that they have spent a period of time trying their best in studying and training.

In addition to the above rewards, the school has a monthly scholarship fund for excellent students. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school spent 248 million VND in scholarship funds for 133 students.
