The invention of the 3-in-1 rice seeding machine (rice seeding machine, cluster - leveling the field - digging drainage ditches) by Mr. Le Van Lung has contributed to reducing costs, reducing labor and increasing rice productivity, bringing economic efficiency.
Mr. Le Van Lung (left cover), a farmer who invented agricultural machines in Cau Lon hamlet, My Lac commune, Thu Thua district (Long An province) next to the 3-in-1 rice seeder he invented.
According to Mr. Le Van Lung, Cau Lon hamlet, My Lac commune, Thu Thua district (Long An province), the 3-in-1 rice seeder he invented has a compact structure, simple and effective operation.
The rice seeder designed and manufactured by Mr. Lung uses the pulling force of a plow and a transplanter to pull the 3-in-1 rice seeder.
The 3-in-1 seed seeder is designed to include: a 2.5m long seed container; a rotating shaft attached to 2 wheels so that when the tractor is operating, the seeds fall onto the field surface; below the rotating shaft is a field leveling device, combined with a drainage ditch making device.
Compared to traditional seeding methods, broadcast seeding, and thick seeding in production, the 3-in-1 row seeding machine invented by Mr. Lung helps reduce 40-50% of the amount of seeds used (from 120-150kg/ha to 70-80kg/ha).
The 3-in-1 seed seeder also reduces 15-20% of inorganic fertilizers, reduces 1-2 times of spraying pesticides, increases rice yield by 0.3-0.5 tons/ha, and increases profits by 2-3 million VND/ha.
The 3-in-1 rice seeder invented by Mr. Lung also contributes to the implementation of the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta.
With this initiative, Mr. Le Van Lung won the Encouragement Prize in the 8th Long An Province Farmers' Technical Innovation Contest, 2023-2024.
