Get rich by applying science and technology in production
As a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024, Mr. Dieu Thang has always been an exemplary leader and encouraged people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies. He has always actively participated in local movements.
At home, Mr. Dieu Thang is always a pioneer in economic development, educating his children to study hard, work hard, not violate the law, etc.
He said: "To develop the economy, we must attend training courses and apply science and technology to production. Thereby, we can improve the productivity of crops and livestock. We must research, learn, and be self-reliant, not relying on the weather, natural conditions, or external factors."

Mr. Thang's family has 11 hectares of land, including 5 hectares of rubber and 6 hectares of cashew. Thanks to the application of science and technology in production, the productivity of crops in Mr. Thang's garden is always high. According to Mr. Thang, to help the rubber trees grow well, he fertilizes 2-3 times a year, depending on the health of the trees.
He always prioritizes organic fertilizer to maintain soil fertility and plant strength. At the same time, he regularly monitors the growth of the plants. If he detects a disease, he must spray pesticides immediately.
As for the cashew trees, he prunes and shapes the canopy after each harvest. Every year, he fertilizes twice and sprays stimulants when the cashew trees are about to flower and bear fruit.
Therefore, his cashew and rubber gardens are always green and productive. This year, many households in Binh Phuoc had a bad cashew crop, but Mr. Thang's family's cashews still yielded 2.5 tons/ha.
Mr. Thang also invested in barns, raised pigs, chickens, etc. in his spare time, and bought rubber trees, cashews, etc. to sell to wood processing factories to increase his income. In 2023, he earned nearly 400 million VND in profit from rubber and cashew gardens.

With his experience, Mr. Dieu Thang also regularly shares his experience and guides people on techniques for taking care of plants. Mr. Dieu Oanh - Mr. Thang's neighbor in Thuan Tien hamlet said: "I have 4 hectares of rubber and cashew. In the early years, Mr. Dieu Thang often guided me on planting techniques, care and how to treat diseases such as pink fungus, anthracnose, ...
Since then, I have mastered the care techniques, so the crop yield is always high. Up to now, my family's economy has stabilized and I have been able to buy many expensive items for the family, such as: cars, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.
Mobilizing people to preserve national cultural identity
Thuan Tien Hamlet currently has 351 households and 1,460 people; of which, the Stieng ethnic group accounts for 244 households, accounting for nearly 70% of the total number of households in the hamlet.
In recent years, with the attention of the Party Committee and local authorities, along with efforts in production and economic development, the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved.
Mr. Dieu Thang realized: Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identity of the Stieng people is very necessary. It has important significance, contributing to enriching the spiritual and cultural life, as well as repelling social evils and eliminating backward customs.

As a prestigious person, Mr. Dieu Thang always encourages the people in the hamlet to preserve the traditional crafts of the Stieng people such as: weaving brocade, weaving baskets, or preserving folk songs and traditional dances of the Stieng people. And encourages them to pass them on to the younger generation.
Therefore, Thuan Tien hamlet currently has about 30 people who know how to weave brocade, more than 40 people who know how to weave baskets, the hamlet also established 2 gong teams with 10 members, 2 art teams with 12 members. And, many people still preserve sports such as crossbow shooting, folding, stilt walking, ... and participate in the "Ethnic Minority Culture and Sports Festival", organized by the province and district and won many high prizes.
A prestigious person is trusted by the people.
In recent years, the Party cell and hamlet committee have actively mobilized people to join hands in building new rural areas and cultural residential areas. Mr. Dieu Thang has visited each family to meet, understand their thoughts and aspirations, propagate and mobilize people to donate land, donate trees, etc. to expand rural roads, build a civilized lifestyle, not listen to bad people, and wholeheartedly follow the Party and the State.
With his prestige and skillful propaganda words; sometimes just a friendly conversation about daily life. But Mr. Thang combined propaganda of the law for the people, mobilizing people to participate in movements and campaigns in residential areas.

Therefore, Thuan Tien has achieved the title of cultural hamlet for many consecutive years thanks to Mr. Dieu Thang's great contribution."
In recognition of his contributions, the Central, Provincial and District Governments awarded him many certificates of merit and awards for his achievements in many fields.
In particular, in 2023, Mr. Dieu Thang was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, as a typical example in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Binh Phuoc province, period 2021-2023.
