TPO - Hanoi National University is ranked 325th in the world, up 456 places compared to 2024 and ranked 51st in Asia and number 1 in Vietnam.

In the QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025, the ranking position of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) increased by 456 places compared to the ranking position in the top 781-790 in the QS 2024 ranking, ranked 51st in Asia and No. 1 in Vietnam.

In the QS WUR Sustainability 2025 ranking, in addition to VNU, there are 9 other universities in Vietnam ranked, including: Duy Tan University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Ton Duc Thang University, Can Tho University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

This ranking shows the extent to which a university contributes to three key areas: Environmental Impact, Social Impact, and Governance. In the QS Sustainability 2025 ranking, VNU has increased its scores in all criteria under the three criteria: Governance; Environmental Impact; Social Impact.

Implementing the governance perspective with the goal of sustainable development, VNU has achieved the 204th position in Governance standards - this is also the highest ranked standard of VNU, affirming transparency, ensuring ethics, responsibility and efficiency in governance and organizational operations of VNU.

The efforts that VNU is making to contribute to changing the world for the better through research in areas such as environmental science, climate change and the impact of alumni in creating a more sustainable world have brought VNU to rank 364 in the Environmental Impact criterion.

The action programs that VNU is implementing to improve society, share knowledge, and train graduates who have meaningful impacts on society have brought VNU a ranking of 399 in the Social Impact criterion.
