On the morning of September 5, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the opening ceremony at T78 Friendship School (Phuc Tho District, Hanoi).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the National Assembly Chairman expressed his joy and, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, sent his warmest feelings and best wishes to the delegates, teachers and all students of T78 Friendship School.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, our Party and State always attach special importance to education, considering it a top national policy and always devoting the best to taking care of the education cause, ensuring that all students, whether in the plains or in the mountains, border areas, or islands, can study and have equal access to education. This is the most fundamental foundation to liberate people from poverty and backwardness, to have a prosperous, free, and happy life, and to build a rich and strong country.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the 2023-2024 school year marks 10 years of implementing Resolution 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training and Resolution 88/2014/QH13 and Resolution 51/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks. Therefore, the education sector needs to thoroughly grasp the Party and State's guidelines and policies on education and training.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that teachers will always be an example of morality, self-study and creativity, dedicated and responsible to their profession, "teachers are like parents", loving and teaching wholeheartedly, not only imparting knowledge but also inspiring and motivating students to be passionate about learning and exploring new horizons of knowledge.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that students of T78 Friendship School will continue to follow the example of previous generations, strive to study and practice to become good citizens, both red and professional, and at the same time contribute to further cultivating the unique friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

T78 Friendship School (formerly known as the Central Mountainous Campus) was established in 1958. The school has changed its name 4 times, changed its location 9 times, through 7 districts, 6 provinces and cities. In 1980, the school moved to Tho Loc commune, Phuc Tho district.
This is a public service unit under the Ministry of Education and Training. The school's mission is to teach preparatory Vietnamese language to Laotian students and provide high school education for Vietnamese ethnic minority students and Laotian students following the model of a boarding school for ethnic minorities with foreign elements.
After 65 years of construction and development, the school has trained over 27,000 international students for Laos. Many of them have held important positions in the leadership of the Lao Party and State from the Central to the local levels.
