On September 14, students of Hy Vong School in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, actively participated in sorting clothes and school supplies; cleaning, washing and carefully packing them to send to the North, supporting friends who were severely affected by storms and floods.
Tran Le Linh Huong, a 7th grade student, carefully wrapped each new shirt and noted her height as 1m44 and weight as 44kg.

Not only supporting supplies, students of Hy Vong School also wrote handwritten letters to encourage their peers in the North affected by natural disasters.
According to students of Hy Vong School, in recent days, they have heard that people in the North have suffered many losses and hardships due to storms, floods, and natural disasters. Typhoon Yagi caused great damage to people and property, infrastructure, houses, streets, etc.
"We learned about this through online articles and the school radio. Seeing the images of houses submerged in water and roads washed away by floodwaters made me feel extremely sad. Everything was destroyed so quickly, and it happened so suddenly.
Our Hoper brothers (students of Hy Vong School) have families and relatives in the flooded areas, waiting day and night for news. We hope that we only suffer property damage. Because more than anyone, we understand that there is no pain greater than the pain of losing a loved one, because we can rebuild our property but the pain will last forever," the letter from the students of Hy Vong School wrote.
Hope School is a school for children who have unfortunately lost their parents due to Covid-19. Currently, the school has gone through 6 enrollment rounds with more than 300 students from 43 provinces and cities across the country.
In the letter, orphaned students who have experienced tragedy also expressed their admiration for the determination and resilience of the rescue team in the fierce flood conditions.
"The losses caused by the storm are truly devastating, but we believe that all of you will overcome it. Although it is dangerous now, we are confident that tomorrow will be bright," the students shared in the letter.
The students at the special school also wanted to know about the situation of the people in the North and the rescue forces. Through the letter, they sent their best wishes and prayed for the rain and wind to stop so that the people and the forces would have less trouble.
Although they are in Da Nang, their hearts are always turned towards the North. They know that in the capital and many provinces and cities in the North, many of their peers are struggling to overcome difficulties they have never encountered before.
