Vietnamese Sports has identified this as an ASIAD with many advantages and opportunities but also many difficulties and challenges. Some of the sports and competitions that are strengths of Vietnamese Sports are not included in the competition program of the Games like in previous ASIADs. However, Vietnamese Sports is doing everything to aim for an ASIAD with the greatest spirit and aspiration.

According to Mr. Dang Ha Viet, in 2023, the key task of the Vietnam Sports Delegation is to prepare forces to participate in international sports events, in which participating in the 19th ASIAD is one of the important tasks identified, with the meaning of elevating Vietnamese Sports.

Immediately after the end of the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia, the sports sector has organized a review, evaluation and continued to maintain the force of athletes, coaches, and training experts at the National Sports Training Centers, while selecting and dividing groups of sports to focus on investment and sending excellent athletes to train abroad, compete in domestic and international tournaments to improve professional qualifications, accumulate experience, and competition psychology for athletes before the major sports event.
