(CLO) Elon Musk once proudly declared that his social network X is "the most exciting place on the Internet". Continuing that view, CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, emphasized that "if anything happens in the world, it will appear on X". And with President Trump's return to power: Indeed, everything happens on X.
The platform’s “everything happens at X” slogan has been a source of controversy lately. But for anyone wondering what’s going on with President Trump’s return to power, it’s true—it all happens on X.

The Trump administration’s blitzkrieg strategy fits perfectly with X. Trump appointees are announcing new policies; agencies are pushing for changes; and aides are connecting the new policies to Trump’s campaign promises, viral post after viral post.
This approach is being implemented from the top, specifically Elon Musk. Mr. Musk, as a uniquely empowered figure, is directly leading and implementing the transformation of the Ministry of Government Efficiency into a reality.
Elon Musk posts regularly on X, sometimes more than a hundred posts a day, most of which focus on his campaign against the bureaucracy that he considers cumbersome and inefficient.
Elon Musk's DOGE initiative focuses on publishing daily updates regarding government agencies terminating multi-million dollar contracts and removing "gender identity" related content from government websites.
However, many critics have called for more transparency into DOGE’s operations. They have argued that Musk’s supporters appear to be selective in publicizing the canceled contracts they want to see, leading to a lack of objectivity and full disclosure. This raises doubts about the transparency and true motives of the DOGE initiative.
Trump's key appointees all follow Musk and DOGE. Using a Hollywood metaphor, President Trump has selected "lead actors" from his inner circle and tasked them with capturing the public's attention.
Homeland Security officials also use the platform to release footage of immigration raids. Meanwhile, State Department officials regularly post short videos documenting Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s travels, demonstrating an effort to reach young people and the public through modern forms of content.
Not only that, Transportation officials also used social media to announce important information, such as confirming the change in the name of the "Gulf of Mexico" to "Gulf of America."
On Truth Social, Mr. Trump often posts screenshots of supportive posts that originate from X. These photos of Mr. Trump often receive more engagement (likes and reposts) on X than on Truth Social.
Vice President JD Vance is also an active X user, and recently made headlines by questioning the judiciary's authority to challenge President Trump's power.
