MobiFone offers more incentives for customers to upgrade from 2G to 4G

Stop providing mobile services for 2G phones from September 16, 2024 According to regulations of the Ministry of Information and Communications, from September 16, 2024, network operators will stop providing mobile services for 2G phones (excluding M2M 2G and not applicable to the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos and DK platforms). That means customers need to upgrade their phones to support 3G or higher to continue using the service. In the past time, network operators have actively communicated to customers through many different forms, at the same time implementing support measures and many incentive programs for customers switching from 2G phones to 4G nationwide. MobiFone adds many incentives for customers."Change to 2G phone, unexpected incentives" Accompanying the people and the Government in upgrading mobile technology, from August 15 to September 30, 2024, MobiFone network operator is implementing the program "Change to 2G phone, unexpected incentives" with many attractive incentives such as free 4G SIM exchange, free data package, free 4G feature phone... MobiFone gives free phones to customers. Specifically, MobiFone offers the FP2 package (2GB/day for 90 days) to customers using 2G phones who switch to smartphones (after 3 months, it will be renewed to the MXH100 package) and the CD4G package (1,000 minutes of MobiFone domestic calls and 40 minutes of international calls, used for 30 days) to customers using 2G phones who switch to 4G feature phones (after 1 month of renewal at the price of VND50,000/month). In addition, the network operator also offers free 4G SIM card exchange for customers using 2G/3G SIM cards; at the same time, customers using smartphones and 2G/3G SIM cards will be given a data package worth VND30,000 (30GB/7 days) when exchanging for a 4G SIM card (after 7 days of renewal, the original price of the MBF30 package). Regarding the phone support programs, MobiFone gives away up to 10,000 Masstel Izi S1/T2 phones to 2G subscribers when registering for the 12CD70 package (70,000 VND/month for 12 months, free domestic calls and 70 minutes of off-net calls/month); gives away 670 Samsung A05 smartphones to poor households in Da Nang. Users responded positively to MobiFone's 2G phone exchange program. To support people, MobiFone network also cooperated with retailers to launch incentive programs for customers. From August 7 to September 30, people who bring their 2G phones that are still working normally to The Gioi Di Dong can exchange them for a new 4G phone, receive a coupon worth 480,000 VND to buy a 3MXH100 Data SIM and 3 months of free use of the 3MXH100 package with 90GB for 90 days. FPT Shop also launched the program "Turn off 2G waves, exchange for 4G phones" with a policy of giving up to 600,000 VND to customers when exchanging from a used 2G phone to a 4G phone. The above incentive programs have partly shown that MobiFone always accompanies the Government to support people in switching to the digital environment. Cooperating with many large units in the market, MobiFone network has contributed to improving users' technology experience, bringing Vietnamese people many opportunities to use digital services and data services in a modern network environment.
