Many new markets appear

In the first half of 2024, Vinamilk's milk export revenue increased by more than 37%. This result is assessed as thanks to the process of combining support and trade promotion solutions, increasing brand presence, finding opportunities and developing new customer groups.

Mr. Vo Trung Hieu - International Business Director of Vinamilk said: "Participating in international exhibitions and fairs is a regular activity. Here, we focus on introducing international quality products and services to international partners.

Many partners are surprised to learn that Vietnam can produce dairy products with a wide range of high standards, delicious flavors and very competitive prices."

Specifically, many new markets appeared in the company's 61 export markets from Australia, South America or Africa. In addition, Vinamilk maintained good performance in traditional markets in the Middle East.

Mr. Inam Ahmad Zia Ahmad, (Middle East partner) shared when visiting Vinamilk's infant formula factory: "I am really impressed by the company's closed process, application of international standards and high automation.

In addition, your packaging is also environmentally friendly, milk cartons are often reused by consumers in our market."

Developing nearly 400 types of products for export

Currently, the company has developed nearly 400 types of products for export to 61 countries. Most recently, Vinamilk has exported another product, yogurt, to the US market right after achieving FDA (US food safety standards) for this product.

Each market will have its own quality standards and characteristics. Overcoming this barrier, the company has many advantages. For example, Vinamilk has a system of 13 factories that meet international standards to support exports such as: FSSC 22000 (International Food Safety Management System Certification - Netherlands), BRC (British Standards), SMETA Social Responsibility Standards, FDA (USA), Standards for Muslim countries HALAL, Organic EU (European Organic Standards), GMP (American Good Manufacturing Practices Standards)...

Mr. Mai Ba Dung, Director of Saigon Milk Factory (Vinamilk), which produces products for export to demanding markets such as Australia and New Zealand, said: "Currently, the factory is meeting 683 million cold products for export each year. Each product leaving the factory will need to go through a controlled process with more than 9 standards, both Vietnamese and international.

As a cold product manufacturing factory, we invest from the stage of receiving raw materials, processing, to the system of smart cold storage, temperature sensors... to ensure storage conditions to help products have the best quality."

Revenue growth of more than 50% in major international supermarket chain in the Oceania region

Vinamilk participates in the supply chain of the largest international supermarket chains in the Oceania region such as Costco, Woolworths, Foodstuff. In these two markets, the company recorded revenue growth of more than 50% compared to the same period last year.

In addition, fully exploiting FTAs ​​creates sales advantages and supports the company's export growth. For example, in the Japanese and Canadian markets, revenue increased by about 40% compared to the same period in 2023.

"According to the plan, we will continue to promote new markets with great potential such as Africa and South America... However, to exploit markets with FTAs, it is necessary to meet requirements on origin, along with changes in raw materials and production lines to be able to meet related requirements," Mr. Hieu added.

Up to now, the company has had more than 26 years of experience exporting dairy products abroad, with more than 300 product codes in the categories of condensed milk, powdered milk, yogurt... with a total accumulated turnover of more than 3.3 billion USD.
