DNVN - In 2024, AEON Vietnam will offer more than 9,000 job opportunities, actively recruiting personnel to serve the business expansion strategy this year and the peak shopping period at the end of the year.
According to the General Statistics Office, in the first six months of 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated to reach VND3,098.7 trillion, up 8.6% over the same period last year. These figures show that the general economic situation and the retail industry in particular are gradually recovering and growing again. However, the economic situation is still difficult, strongly affecting the job market.
According to the Manpower 2024 survey, 87% of respondents said that work balance and stability are increasingly important, greatly affecting their satisfaction with the company. In addition, the need for personal development is one of the top factors with more than 30% of respondents interested. Candidates not only want an attractive salary but also need a stable working environment with opportunities for sustainable development.
To be able to develop comprehensively and sustainably, retail personnel need a stable, secure environment to focus on personal and career development.
In the long-term vision, AEON Group identifies Vietnam as the second key market besides Japan to boost investment. General Retail is one of the three core business pillars of AEON that has been and will continue to be accelerated in the coming time.
In 2024, AEON Vietnam plans to open a Department Store and Supermarket in Hue by the end of 2024, along with two centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and open new specialty stores and mini supermarkets.
AEON Vietnam has planned early and is urgently implementing steps to prepare quality human resources to meet this expansion strategy, with the need to recruit up to 9,000 full-time and part-time employees. Previously, in June and July 2024, AEON Vietnam organized a series of recruitment fairs in Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, attracting nearly 6,000 candidates to interview and seek job opportunities. Notably, on August 3, AEON Vietnam will continue to organize a recruitment fair in Hanoi, bringing diverse job opportunities to workers in the capital.
