Lively simulation of mass mobilization work at units and localities in Ha Tinh

The Provincial Military Command and Huong Son District are two units in Ha Tinh that organize the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" contest in 2023, creating a useful playground for cadres working in mass mobilization, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda on policies and guidelines.

At the end of May, the Provincial Military Command was the first unit in the province to organize the “Skillful Civil Affairs” contest. The contest had 14 teams, of which 13 teams were from local armed forces and Regiment 841.

Through dramatization, the teams go through 3 rounds of competition including: brief introduction of the agency, unit, and area; knowledge and situation handling competition; introduction and propaganda of effective models and activities.

The competition section briefly introduces the agency, unit, and location of the Can Loc District Military Command team.

The content throughout the contest focuses on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on mass mobilization work, security protection work at grassroots units; the role, functions, and responsibilities of Party committees, commanders, and each officer and soldier in carrying out security protection work at the unit and mass mobilization work in the stationed area. In particular, good practices in propaganda and mobilization of units are shared through skits, contributing to bringing useful information to the contest.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Le Thang - Political Commissar of the Military Command of Vu Quang District, an excellent contestant who won first prize in the contest, shared: "Participating in the contest is an opportunity for us to exchange and learn experiences in mass mobilization work; at the same time, improve our knowledge, practice propaganda skills, and mobilize us to participate in handling complicated situations and incidents that arise during the performance of tasks in the locality."

Colonel Vo Quang Thien - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command said: "The "Skilled Mass Mobilization" contest is a political and ideological activity and also an opportunity to evaluate the mass mobilization capacity of cadres and soldiers of the units. The spread and lessons learned from the contest contribute to building good mass mobilization units, promptly bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people. From there, building a solid "people's heart position" and meeting the requirements of innovation, strengthening mass mobilization work of the Ha Tinh armed forces in the new period".

Organized systematically and on a large scale, attracting the participation of cadres working in mass mobilization from the village to the district, the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" contest organized by Huong Son district last July also created a wide spread influence.

The "Skillful Mass Mobilization" contest, cluster 2, has 8 teams from the communes of Son Bang, Son Trung, Son Phu, Son Ham, Son Truong, Son Giang, Kim Hoa and Pho Chau town.

Before organizing the district final round, the units participated in the cluster round with 3 clusters, 25 teams from 25 commune and town party committees. Each commune and town party committee established a team of 5 people; in addition to the official members, the teams were allowed to use additional members who were party members, union members, association members, cadres of the mass mobilization groups of villages, residential groups... of their units to participate in the greeting and skit competitions.

At the end of the cluster round, 6 teams won first and second prizes from the clusters from the communes of Son Trung, Son Tien, An Hoa Thinh, Son Tay, Son Kim 1 and Pho Chau town to participate in the district final round. The teams all went through 3 rounds: greeting, knowledge (theory and situation handling), and skit.

Mr. Tran Cao The - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Huong Son District Party Committee assessed: "All teams have prepared carefully, practiced carefully, diversified their performance forms, and excellently completed the competition according to the regulations. The content of the competition is closely integrated with the practical situation of each locality and conveyed through folk songs, singing and dancing... attracting the audience and creating a lively and exciting atmosphere".

The contest was broadcast live on social networking sites attracting many viewers.

In addition, organizing livestreams of the contest widely on social networks, broadcasting live through the grassroots radio system and propaganda work on mass media have contributed to raising awareness of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members about the important position and role of mass mobilization work in the current period.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Truong, Son Trung commune (Huong Son) shared: “I followed the “Clever Mass Mobilization” contest live on Facebook. The skits performed by the teams were very unique, easy to understand, easy to remember and close to current reality such as: land clearance campaign, new rural construction, land dispute mediation, environmental pollution, village and neighborhood love... Following the contest also helped me understand many contents about the policies and guidelines of the Party and State”.

Assessing the implementation of the contest, Mr. Ngo Van Huynh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee said: "Although there is no direction at the provincial level, with creative and dedicated ways of doing things, the Provincial Military Command and Huong Son district are the two pioneering units, taking the lead in organizing the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" contest.

The contest has had a great influence, not only contributing to propagating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's policies, resolutions, directives, and the State's policies and laws, but also raising awareness and responsibility of the entire political system, cadres, party members, and people in mass mobilization work in general and the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement in particular. At the same time, it helps to enhance exchanges, learning, and experience sharing, contributing to improving capacity, skills, and expertise in mass mobilization work; discovering models and typical examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" for replication.
