Western Nghe An welcomes Marathon runners from European countries

Welcoming the delegation were representatives of the Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Police and leaders of Ky Son and Con Cuong districts.

This is the first European delegation to visit Nghe An in 2024. The sightseeing and marathon activities are part of the “Les Foulées de la Soie” (FDS) running program combining Laos and Vietnam, taking place from April 8 to April 18, 2024, implemented by the Sports Development Organization (SDPO).

This year, SDPO continues to choose Ky Son and Con Cuong districts as the sightseeing and marathon running locations. The schedule of the participating delegation is to run from the capital Vientiane and travel along the highway to the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, the Plain of Jars Xieng Khouang (Laos) and to Ky Son and Con Cuong districts.

The group ran through 2 stages, stage 1 from Con Cuong town to Kem waterfall (21km), stage 2 from Tien Thanh village intersection, Chau Khe commune to Tham Nang Man relic site, Yen Khe commune (15km) and visited the exhibition area of ​​the Museum of Nature - Pu Mat National Park, Khe Ran village and Nua village, Kem waterfall.

During the next days in Vietnam, the delegation will visit tourist attractions and organize a Marathon in Pu Luong (Thanh Hoa), Hoa Lu Ancient Capital (Ninh Binh), and Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh)./.
