The North welcomes cold air

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, around tonight (October 9), the cold air will strengthen and affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region and some places in the Northwest. Northeast wind inland is strong at level 2-3; coastal areas at level 3-4.

The weather in the North and North Central regions is cold at night and in the morning. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and North Central regions is generally 21-24 degrees, especially in the mountainous regions of the North, it is generally 18-21 degrees, in the high mountains, some places are below 16 degrees.

At sea, from early morning on October 10, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind increased to level 6, gusting to level 8, waves 2-3m high, rough sea.

The Central and South Central regions, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate and heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places over 60mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and night).

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas and the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan
