In recent days, social networks have been spreading an image of MC Duc Bao associated with a saying about children: "If a child is born to inherit your hardship and poverty, then not having children is also a kind of kindness."

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter on the morning of January 14, MC Duc Bao said that the above statement is not his opinion, was not said by him and did not appear in any program.

"That content was shared by one of my pages (managed by Duc Bao's team - PV) and was exaggerated by a series of fanpages reposting it without checking carefully whether I actually said that or not. But I understand that when it comes from my side, I should still be responsible for explaining it so that everyone can have a more accurate view," he expressed.

The male MC affirmed that he did not aim to criticize anyone and did not want to hurt anyone because of these shares. He also said that this quote appeared a long time ago, but perhaps because he is a public figure, when he shared it, it made it harder for people to accept.

Through this incident, Duc Bao said he will learn from his experience, avoid speaking about controversial topics, and if he does share, he will be clearer and more specific to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

On his personal Facebook, Duc Bao also posted an explanation about the controversy surrounding the above viewpoint on children. According to him, this content is like a reminder of the responsibility of being a father and mother, to bring children into this world after thinking carefully and having the best preparation possible.

"Surely no one wants to see more abandoned lives, children who instead of studying and playing are forced to do hard labor in the most miserable conditions," Duc Bao stated his opinion.

The male MC also expressed that he did not expect the above content to receive so much attention, and at the same time regretted that the quote he shared caused misunderstandings and created negative emotions for some people.

"In the end, the choice is still each person's freedom. To have children or not to have children, what conditions are enough or not enough, are all very personal thoughts and decisions of each couple and each family. Once again, I apologize to everyone for the misunderstandings and unnecessary experiences," he confided.
