More than 20 households in a resettlement area in Binh Duong suddenly had their power cut off due to an incident. But after 4 days, the electricity has still not been restored, causing people's lives to be turned upside down.
The above rare incident occurred at My Hao resettlement area (in Chanh My ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province).
Specifically, according to Ms. Nguyen Nhung (residing in My Hao resettlement area), from December 15 until now, more than 20 households in the area have suddenly had power outages. Meanwhile, households on the opposite side still have normal electricity.
Some people have contacted the electricity agency as well as the investor of the resettlement area to report the incident, and all have received the answer that there is an underground cable problem and that electricity will be restored as soon as possible. However, as of noon today (December 18), the entire resettlement area has not yet had electricity restored.
According to Ms. Nhung, during the 4 days of power outage, the lives of her family and the surrounding households were disrupted. During the day, people had to go to gas stations to ask for phone chargers. At night, due to the heat and insects, people could not sleep in their homes and had to go to relatives' places to sleep.
According to VietNamNet reporters ' records this afternoon at the resettlement area, at the transformer station location, some electricity workers are making repairs.
Unable to bear the heat, many households closed their doors and went outside to find a place to avoid the heat and do personal activities.
According to research, the My Hao resettlement area is invested by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD). This area has underground power infrastructure.
Speaking to reporters, a representative of Thu Dau Mot Electricity said that on December 15, the unit received information from residents and the resettlement area management board about a power outage in the residential area.
The cause was determined to be a broken underground cable. However, because the system was underground, it was difficult for the investor to determine the location of the incident. In addition, due to the investor's difficulties in repair procedures and materials, the repair time was prolonged.
This person also explained that because the incident occurred in an area under the investor's management, the electricity company could not handle it immediately. The unit only coordinated, guided and urged the investor to promptly fix the problem.
