ANTD.VN - On November 23 and 24, Manulife Vietnam cooperated with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to organize the "Healthy Living Every Day" festival with more than 2,000 free health check-ups for people in Thanh Hoa and Hai Phong.
This is one of the practical activities in phase 2 of Manulife's "Clean - Smart - Green Living" community program.
In the two localities above, nearly 100 doctors of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association directly screened for HP bacteria and stomach cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, helping people to detect early the risk of the most common cancers today. In addition, people also receive free general health check-ups with steps such as cardiovascular and diabetes examination, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, blood sugar and blood lipid tests, osteoporosis measurement...

Present at the event “Live Healthy Every Day” very early, Ms. Le Thi Xinh (Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province) shared: “ I have worked in a factory environment for many years, sometimes I wonder if I have a tumor or fibrosis, so I registered to participate in this health check-up program. I was screened for HP bacteria, stomach cancer, breast cancer... If I went to the hospital for a check-up myself, it would probably be half a month's salary working in the factory” .
At the event held in Hai Phong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hai Phong City said: " The fact that Manulife brings thousands of free medical examination opportunities to people not only has great humanitarian significance but also has practical value for the lives of people here, because many of them do not have the conditions to carry out such general and in-depth examination programs". "We always welcome and create conditions for businesses to join hands with the locality to carry out practical social security programs", Ms. Thuy added.
Master Nguyen Huu Tu - Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association shared: "In order for these meaningful and practical events to reach the people, we cannot fail to mention Manulife Vietnam from the initial ideas to when they became reality.
Manulife’s active participation in social activities not only demonstrates its sense of social responsibility but also affirms the role of the enterprise in building a healthy and sustainable community. This is a typical model of cooperation between social organizations, health care and enterprises in creating practical values for the community.”
