Lao Cai - Yen Bai are two provinces in the Northwest mountainous region, people's lives are still difficult, especially in highland and remote districts... traffic infrastructure and facilities are still lacking, often affected by natural disasters, storms and floods all year round, the learning environment and living conditions of students are also degraded and facing many difficulties.
If children in the city are lucky enough to be warmed by their parents with woolen or cotton coats when the weather is just a little chilly, children in the highlands have to brace themselves against the bitter winter with bare feet, old clothes that are torn in some places, and even not having enough clothes to wear and having to bathe in cold water throughout the cold winter.
The innocent eyes and efforts to cope with winter of the children really make us think silently.
Understanding the difficulties of children in the highlands, especially when winter comes, in order to encourage, share and accompany the school and students here, the Ban Mai Xanh Volunteer Club in collaboration with the Youth Union of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security, Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union, Lao Cai Provincial Police Youth Union, Lao Cai Provincial Mobile Police Battalion and Ho Chi Minh City Artist Volunteer Team organized the 20th "Sharing Love" Program in Phinh Ho Commune (Tram Tau District, Yen Bai Province) and Ta Phoi Commune (Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province), with the theme "Warmth of the highlands".
Teachers and students in the highlands were happy when the donors came to give them practical gifts.
At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 70 million VND to renovate and repaint Phinh Ho Kindergarten.
Along with that, 8 50-inch TVs and 4 computer systems with a total value of 120 million VND were presented and 140 million VND was supported to equip facilities and computers for Phinh Ho Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and 400 uniforms worth 140 million VND were given to schools in Tram Tau district and 30 million VND to San Tra kindergarten.
