On November 5, Thu Dau Mot City Police (Binh Duong) are taking statements and expanding the investigation into the child kidnapping case that occurred at Binh Duong General Hospital on November 4.
The girl's kidnapper was identified as Ms. TTNT (18 years old, from Ben Tre, temporarily residing in Thanh Tuyen commune, Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong).
At the police station, T. confessed that she had an ovarian cyst, had had a miscarriage once, and had a very low chance of having children. Due to family pressure and the desire to have children, T. lied to her husband that she was pregnant and due in October.
The mother and child are being monitored by doctors (Photo: Provided by authorities).
Because T. was fat and looked like she was pregnant, her family did not suspect anything. On November 4, T. went to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Binh Duong General Hospital for a reproductive health check-up but lied that she was hospitalized to give birth.
After the examination, Ms. T. had the intention of kidnapping the newborn babies of other pregnant women, so she took a doctor's shirt to disguise herself to carry out the act.
At around 6:00 p.m. on November 4, seeing Ms. HTB (25 years old, from Hau Giang) taking care of her newborn daughter at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Binh Duong General Hospital, T. entered the room and asked the family to bring the baby so that T. could take her for vaccination.
Then, T. took the baby to a motel in Thanh Tuyen commune, Dau Tieng district and lied to his family that he had just given birth.
Upon receiving the report, the police quickly investigated, followed the trail, found the motel and caught T. holding the baby. Initial investigation determined that T. took the baby home to raise.
