On September 12, the Department of Trade Defense, Ministry of Industry and Trade informed about the extension of the deadline for submitting the Official Investigation Questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in the investigation case of applying anti-dumping measures on some hot-rolled steel products originating from India and China (case code: AD20).
Previously, on August 12, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority issued Notice No. 106⁄TB-PVTM on the issuance of the Official Investigation Questionnaire for foreign manufacturers and exporters in the AD20 case. Accordingly, the deadline for responding to the Questionnaire is 5:00 p.m. on September 18, 2024 (Hanoi time).

During the preparation of the response to the Investigation Questionnaire, foreign manufacturers/exporters who are related parties to the case sent a dispatch to the Department of Trade Remedies to request an extension of the deadline for responding to the Questionnaire on the grounds that the amount of data to be provided was very large, so the companies needed more time to collect and prepare complete and accurate related data.
In order to facilitate enterprises to participate in answering the questionnaire, ensuring objectivity and fairness among related parties in order to provide complete and accurate information for the assessment of the case; Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 35 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management on trade defense measures, the Investigation Agency has Notice No. 129/TB-PVTM dated September 11, 2024 on extending the deadline for answering the investigation questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in the AD20 case by 30 days, that is, until 5:00 p.m. on October 18, 2024 (Hanoi time). After the above deadline, the Investigation Agency may use available data in accordance with the provisions of the law on trade defense.
For other contents, companies are requested to follow the instructions in the official investigation questionnaire issued under Notice No. 106/TB-PVTM dated August 12, 2024 of the Investigation Agency.
