At the inspection, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Xuan Bo, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 293rd Engineer Brigade, reported on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of 2023 on traffic safety. Accordingly, from the beginning of the year, the Party Committee and Party organizations in the entire Party Committee issued a specialized Resolution to lead the building of a pilot unit on traffic safety at the Ministry of National Defense level in 2023, disseminated, thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented.
The Brigade launched an emulation movement to ensure traffic order and safety; implemented the thematic contents: Traffic Safety Year "Respecting the law to build a culture of safe traffic", deployed emulation registration to each collective and individual; linked the completion results of the content and targets of the emulation movement to ensure traffic order and safety and implementing the traffic safety year 2023 as one of the criteria to evaluate the completion results of the duties and tasks of each collective and individual during the year.
The unit has supplemented and completed the system of traffic signs, road markings, convex mirrors at intersections, and materials for training and inspection of the Road Traffic Law; supplemented equipment in the technical area's control room to better serve the inspection of the technical condition of motorbikes; organized technical club activities with the main content being propaganda about the current Road Traffic Law, Decrees and regulations of the State and the Army on traffic safety. At the same time, strictly maintained the daily and weekly preservation and maintenance of motorbikes; strictly checked the technical condition of motorbikes before performing tasks; organized monthly inspections of the technical condition of personal vehicles and personal documents when driving vehicles.
Through listening to the report and directly inspecting the unit, Colonel Dao Van Phong, Deputy Head of the Military Mechanical Safety Department, Department of Motorcycles - Head of the working group highly appreciated the results of the work of building a traffic safety point of the 293rd Engineering Brigade, especially the use of motorbikes, preservation of vehicles, supplies and propaganda of traffic safety laws associated with the implementation of the unit's political tasks.
The working delegation requested that the 293rd Engineer Brigade continue to promote training and fostering for military drivers, strictly handle acts showing signs of traffic violations; strictly deploy plans and programs to implement the project to ensure road traffic safety in the army for the period 2021-2030 and the following years to successfully complete the task of building a traffic safety unit in 2023.
