On January 15, Thuy Nguyen City Police (Hai Phong) informed about the female suspect who kidnapped a kindergarten girl in Hai Phong.

Specifically, at around 5:00 p.m. on January 13, the City Police received a report from Thien Huong Ward Police about Nguyen Tra M. being taken away from school by a stranger.

Initial verification showed that the child was taken into a taxi towards Tran Nguyen Han Street (Le Chan District, Hai Phong).

That same night, police forces focused on solving the case and coordinating with related units to search for the victim. By 4 p.m. on January 14, thanks to active cooperation, Le Chan District Police and Ngo Quyen District Police arrested the suspect and found the child.

Accordingly, the subject is Dong Thi Ha Thu (born 2007), residing in Hoang Lam ward, Thuy Nguyen city (Hai Phong).

At the police station, Thu confessed that on the afternoon of January 13, she went to Thien Huong Kindergarten (Thuy Nguyen City, Hai Phong), but it was not time to drop off the children, so she waited at the gate.

About 10 minutes later, the school security guard opened the gate. Thu walked up to the 2nd floor to class 3A2, looked at the student's locker named NTM. Then, Thu went into the classroom and asked the teacher for permission to pick up M.

When his name was called, M. quickly ran out and followed Thu. This subject also asked people to call a taxi and went with the child to Tran Nguyen Han street, Le Chan district (Hai Phong city).

Initially, the authorities determined that the subject liked children, wanted to keep them, and planned to rent a place to raise them. The subject was under 18 years old and is currently being detained at Thuy Nguyen City Police.

Regarding the purpose of taking the child, Thu affirmed that she only took the child out for fun and had no other purpose. Thu also expressed remorse for her actions.

In addition, the police determined that the subject showed signs of depression.

Regarding this information, NTM's mother spoke up: This is an unwanted incident. She does not want to prosecute anyone.
