A series of experiential activities at Ba Ria Vung Tau tourism week

The tourism week with many activities such as kite festival, food fair, art performance... taking place from November 17 - 23 is expected to attract thousands of tourists.

With the theme "Let's Go!!! Ba Ria-Vung Tau", the tourism week aims to attract domestic and international tourists, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

"Autumn is the coolest and most pleasant time of the year. Organizing the event reminds tourists of an attractive Ba Ria - Vung Tau all year round," Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, shared at a press conference on October 27.

The event's series of activities is designed to be diverse and continuous, in the area of San Ho Xanh - Bien Dong Park (Bai Sau, Vung Tau city) and Ho Tram beach area (Xuyen Moc district), with the meaning that each day is a new experience for visitors. In particular, the outstanding activities are kite festival, kite surfing, exhibition of miniature landscapes and sand sculpture models, food and beer fair, OCOP fair (One Commune One Product - each commune has one product) introducing many local specialties, and seminars on green tourism development.

Also this week, 3 tourism events were held for the first time in Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Friendly Golf Tournament, "Vung Tau Discovery Night Run 2023" night run and paragliding experience.

The opening art program of Tourism Week on the evening of November 17 included a drone show, with the participation of DJs and many famous singers. On this occasion, the province also hosted the semi-finals of the Miss Tourism Ambassador contest, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on November 18 at Bai Sau.

The organizers said they will control security, order, food safety and hygiene, and the environment so that tourists and locals can have peace of mind while enjoying their holiday. Mr. Pham Ngoc Hai, Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, said he will encourage member businesses to build many service combo packages for each customer segment with preferential price policies combined with gratitude to tourists on this occasion.

The organizers hope the event will help the locality "break the ice" of the low tourist season.
