In the list of the world's best pancakes recently published by the famous culinary website Taste Atlas, there are many familiar names from Vietnam.

With 4.2/5 stars, Vietnamese pancakes are ranked 31st on the list. The pancake crust is made from rice flour, has a bright yellow color from turmeric, and the aroma of coconut milk. The filling usually includes shrimp, minced or diced meat, and bean sprouts. When the batter is poured into the pan, it makes a “sizzling” sound, as the name suggests.
